Geithain, September 17, 2025 - In glorious late summer weather, the entire education campus in Geithain opened its doors to the public on Wednesday. For the first time, all areas of the campus were presented in one day:
The crèche, kindergarten, elementary school, after-school care center, secondary school and grammar school provided a comprehensive look behind the scenes of learning and life in Geithain with information stands, guided tours and hands-on activities. Teachers and educational specialists were available for discussions and provided information about the concepts, focal points and special features of the respective facilities.
The aim of the campus festival was to make education transparent and tangible - a goal that many visitors felt was successfully achieved.
The colourful supporting program was particularly popular with families with children. On the extensive grounds, there were numerous play and craft stations, sports activities and a large raffle with attractive prizes. Cakes, hearty snacks and refreshments were also available.
Conclusion: With several hundred visitors, the campus festival was a complete success. It not only offered fun and entertainment, but also valuable insights into the educational landscape of the town. The day made it clear how important the exchange between schools, daycare centers, parents and the public is - and how well this already works in Geithain.
